Mothers day 2012

So today was Mothers day, my second one a matter of fact and it was a great day! Our day started by me waking up to my little man laying next to me. Just the look on his face when he wakes up just makes my world go round. As we started our daily routine with a diaper change I was explaining to Corbin what today was all about. He looked at me as though he understood what I was saying, and after I wrapped his bottom back up he darted to the toy box. He pulled out his train an held it out to me proclaiming his 'too-too' with those cute little lips and I couldn't help but giggle. I again looked at him and said , Corbin it's mothers day, are you going to tell mama you love her? He looked at me and blew me a kiss, which is how he says 'I love you' so I accepted that. Then he reached into his toy box and pulled out his green bead necklace from the st. Pats parade and placed them around my neck, as if he were saying, here look what I got you! It was perfect, he is perfect! We made our way to the kitchen to eat our cereal and watch cartoons. Now originally we were invited to a friends house for dinner but I decided to have a lazy day. We cuddled up on the love sac and we started our lazy cuddle day by watching Dumbo, I forgot how much I liked that movie. Watching Corbin giggle at it just made me smile. Then we moved on to watch Garfield, and a few other shows that were on. We took a break in between to do some laundry, and pull out our suitcase for our trip back to Pittsburgh this weekend. He helped me drag the garbage cans to the curb and water my flowers. Despite bring lazy we had a pretty productive day! After all that I decided to spoil us a bit an order some pizza, boy of boy does this kid like pizza! We enjoyed our guilty pleasure and continued to watch tv and be lazy.

I decided today that on days like this, holidays, or days of significance I want to write to Corbin, either here in my blog or in a letter just letting him know what we did, how are day was, and just how much I really love him. Some day when he is older he will be able to have them and look back and see what things he did as a young man. Now as I finish this entry I hear him breathing next to me, mama caved and let him continue the cuddles in her bed, I can say that even though my hubby had to work all this weekend and could not share the day with us, I am happy an thankful that I got to share it with my little man who would not be here if it were not for my husband, and me too of course! I love them both so very much! Happy mothers day all!
