The simple things...

I have often said, and still do, that the simple things in life are what make me the most happy. From time to time though I seem to let that go by the way side and get caught up in other things and forget to just sit back and take in those little things. Well at 3am I have time to reflect, don't judge, and really take in those little things. Today for instance I enjoyed a wonderful day with my hubs and the little guy. After getting dinner on this morning we all got dressed I strapped Corbin into his mean green stroller and as a family we enjoyed a nice 3 mile walk/run in the sunshine. Afterwards we stopped off at the park for Corbin to run around. I have alway enjoyed watching grow and do things but these last few months have just been so great. He is like a sponge soaking up everything around him. Not a day goes by where I don't laugh so hard it brings tears to my eyes. His baby babble or the looks he gives me when I talk to him, this child has such a personality already. But as we played at the park today and I watch my hubs squeeze down a covered twisty slide (oh was that entertaining) and then see Corbin run full speed at me with arms out and fists full of mulch, to stop in front of me as if to say 'here mommy! Look what I got you!' just makes my heart smile. Those little things keep me going. No amount of money in the world would make me want trade those simple little things. I love my family and I cannot wait to see what 'precious' treasure my little man brings me next!

Back on track.... I hope

Hey everyone! I hope all is well. I have been preoccupied recently and after some soul searching I think I am back and ready for action. I have been going through some person issues and have been searching for the motivation to get back in the swing of working out. I have got to do it for myself and my sanity! I have been sitting idle for to long and it is time to make some changes and no better place to start!

I signed the little guy up so swim lessons and he starts in a week and that means I have to put on a swim suit ugh! So we will start with purchasing new sneakers so I can have happy feet! Hopefully there will happy things to tell you in the near future! Wish me luck!

Slightly obsessed

So over the last few weeks I have been introduced to the wonderful, addicting, world of Pinterest! I can't stop pinning! I made my account a few months back and when I logged in I didn't quite understand the point and well I got board so I logged out and never went back. Well then on our last visit back to Pittsburgh, over the holidays, my wonderful sister showed me some things she wanted to do that she had 'pinned'. This sparked my interest. Why had I not looked further into this pinning business, so now I must revisit the site and check it out.

I did just that and now I am a full fledged addict, I just can't stop. I may even need a pinning intervention (no really don't do that to me). I just can't get over how  many neat ideas there are on there. Not to mention all the cool blogs I am finding since they are linked to the pins. I am not the artistic person, I come up with great ideas and then when it comes time to complete, I choke! The great thoughts in my head just never make it to projects and if they do, well they are just never as great. I am not going to let this get me down though.

Starting today, I have just 7 weeks until I am done with school! I will be a college graduate FINALLY! I will offically own the most expensive piece of paper and I will hang that paper on my wall ha ha. Once I am done with school I will fill my days with neat projects and cool crafts and I just cannot wait. Now that my little guy is getting bigger he can start to help out, kind of, so this should be a blast.

So look out craft world here I come! I am sure pictures will follow of this adventure.

2012.... It's the end of the world as we know it!

Happy 2012 all! It seems as though once again I have fallen by the way side and have neglected my blog but have no fear I am back, not that anyone even follows this shpeel any how.

So yes it's now the enfamous 2012, what are your thoughts? Will the world truly end? I have not allowed myself to fall victim to all the hype because if you know me you know that I stress enough as it is let alone trying to worry about the world ending. Like really what can I do about it any ways? Go spend all my money maybe? What good would that do? Cause I'll say this much, if I spent all my money and the world didn't end I'd be one pissed off chic! So I'm just going to keep on keepin on and hope we make it to 2013!

So what's new and exciting? It was our second Christmas with the baby and this year was much better than the last. He participated in opening gifts which was great. He know has enough toys to supply a small toy store if need be. The hubs was home which was wonderful. I didn't cook since we were jetting off to Pittsburgh the next day so it was a mellow day. Rang in the new year peacefully and now we are back in the comforts of our own home.

So Monday the 9th is my birthday, the big 26! I'm an old bag I know. Any ways while in Pittsburgh we did some shopping and I took the hubs into the LoveSac store! Long story short they were running an amazing deal and I convinced him to get me the deal for my birthday, and valentines day, Easter, and any other holiday until next Christmas lol! It was so worth it though. If you don't know about LoveSac's go educate yourself and then get one! I am enjoying it to say the least.

Litte man is doin great, growing everyday I swear. He has so much personality it kills me, guess he takes after his mama 😊. Never a dull momen with this child he cracks me up on the daily!
